excellent rapport qualité prix: chambres confortables même si pas très grandes. Le resort fee de 11$/chambre comprend un petit déjeuner continental très correct. Proche de l'animation de South beach mais pas en plein coeur.

Hotel très bien situé sur miami beach. Hotel moyen pour le prix payé. Pas d'endroit ou garer sa voiture donc péage obligatoire 1.25$/heure.

We had 3 rooms, one on 3rd floor, one on 4th, and one on 5th, all with ocean views. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. The 3rd floor view of the ocean was mostly blocked by palm trees, but was still ok. The upper floors had a great view. The rooms were very quiet, even though it's on Ocean Drive, we heard very little. They provided ear plugs, but none of us needed them. You do get some street noise in the bathroom, but closing the bathroom door blocked took care of that. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ample and fresh. There is a little bar in the lobby, and the front porch provided a great spot for having a drink and relaxing. It is a great location, within walking distance of many restaurants and bars, and right across the street from the beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would stay there again.

I've never been to South Beach before and was unsure where to stay, but I'm glad I stayed at the Winterhaven. Everything was proper and the location was perfect! I have nothing to complain about!

The Winter Haven is situated in an ideal location on Ocean Drive. It is close enough to bars and night life on the strip, so walking is easy and recommended, but at the same time it is not in the heart of the area, which offers a quietness, not silence, for when you go to sleep. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Beach chairs are provided with each room, as are beach towels. The staff also provided me, upon request, a small cooler with ice for my beach beverages. Nice touch. The Continental Breakfast served each morning is full of the standard items: cereal, toast, hard boiled eggs, coffee and juice, etc. It is satisfactory for those looking for a way to save a little while in South Beach. The hotel has a small bar in the lobby. It is only open until 12 midnight, which helps keep the noise down in the hotel. Unfortunately, there is no happy hour. The hotel also offers free wi-fi which is very nice. The room was comfortable. We had two twin beds and a small desk and chair. There was an electronic safe in the closet. The bathroom was featured only a shower but was clean and modern. All-in-all, a very comfortable stay at a very reasonable price. I would stay here again no problem.

Well run. Very accomadating staff. Fairly priced

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Winterhaven so much that we can't wait to go back. I spent days looking for a hotel and finally decided on Winterhaven based on reviews, price and location. We had a breath taking ocean front room. We walked just steps to the ocean. All staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was good. Our only complaints are the slow elevator and thin walls because you could hear the guests in the next room. Overall, we were satisfied and hope to return. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was place in a corner room facing the alley and it was very loud every morning. I could hear people yelling due to neighboring construction and trash trucks coming through. Other than that, the room was small but clean and housekeeping did a great job each day to reset my room. The two beach chairs in my room were convenient for the walk across the street to the beach. Also the discount coupons for drinks at the bar were a nice bonus. Overall, if you want a clean place to stay and you're not the most concerned with high level of comforta at a hotel because it's just a place to sleep, then this is the hotel for you.

We had bachlorette party in next two rooms screaming, running around and opening and closing doors from 3:30am - 5 am and the hotel did not respond to two calls from my room requesting assistance. Two other rooms were discussing incident at breakfast the following morning. One party stated the front desk attendant didn't believe her when she advised of the previous night unpleasantness.

I got a great rate through Hotels.com and enjoyed my 3 night stay. Everything is within walking distance. They upgraded my partial Ocean View to Ocean view. The bed was very comfortable. Only down side was the $7.00 Corona's at the lobby bar. But I guess that is South Beach.

My wife and I stayed here during a recent trip to Miami and could not have had a better hotel value. The room was clean, the partial ocean view was very nice, we did not feel shorted at all. The lack of on site parking could be an issue in season, but we never had to park more than 3 street spots away from the door. Miami Brach parking can be pricey, but when you buy a parking permit, it is good throughout the city of Miami Beach, so you aren't wasting your money on a meter. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows nice, but the shower is cramped, about what one could expect from an early 20th century building. When you walk around the building though, be careful as there are many homeless people in the area, and they can get pushy. The beach is directly across the street, so you are never more than 5 minutes from the hotel room to the beach, provided the small cramped elevator is close to your floor. Overall, this hotel is a great place to stay, and we would stay there again.

Some people might want more facilities, but for me being able to sit outside on the patio on a night & watch the world go by, or enjoy breakfast surrounded by art deco was plenty for me. I would definitely return.

If you just need a roof over your head this is the place for you. If you need any hotel amenities such as a coffee maker, microwave, a fridge, clean carpet, hot water, space to move around in, a balcony, reliable valet parking, or an onsite pool,this is not the place for you because they simply do not have any of it. And the amenities that they claim they offer you like beach chairs,bath robes, continintal breakfast, and a $5 per night bar credit, they charge you for those amenities almost $10 per night at the time of check out. I could hear every word and sound from the rooms around me and they were not even taking loud. It sounded like they were sitting in the room with my husband and I. The walls were dirty and there is really no point in paying for an oceanfront room when your blinds are broken and dusty. This place was full of disappointments and I wish that I would have stayed somewhere else but my money was non-refundable so at check-in i had no choice but to stay. This ruined my labor day weekend.

The location was great, and the price even better. I would walk right outside to the beach. the continental breakfast was also a plus! The room was small, but I was out at the beach most of the time anyway. I would definitely come back and recommend to others.

A great location on South Beach. Very friendly service and helpful staff. Breakfast was good but the afternoon snacks were a bit minimalistic.

My husband and I only stayed for a day the room was very clean and neat. Staff was very helpfull,gave us several restaurant suggestions and they were great. Want great food stop off @ Dave's Cafe- really great Cuban food! We will return again.

We were pleasantly surprised on how nice this hotel was. The free breakfast in the morning was amazing. And the location was perfect. It was a very clean hotel. And very nice for the price we paid. I would highly recommend this hotel.

if you get this hotel for a low rate, you'll enjoy it. perfect location, good service, they provide you with beach chairs, which is extremely convenient, clean beach towels, and overall, they help you to enjoy your stay, wether it's holiday or business, which was the case for me. The only bad thing I would say is the bar: they charge like crazy, but I guess the location (ocean drive) helps to understand why... Otherwise, everything was, at least, up to my expectations: on the beach, clean and decent sized room, AC everywhere, central location, breakfast included, etc...

After researching hotels for almost 2 months before our vacation, I'm glad to have chosen Winterhaven. Perfect location! Ocean Drive in South Beach...just close enough to the madness, but just far enough to keep you from going mad! Rooms are small but roomy enough and the staff is great! Great experience.

location was awesome. only complaint is we did not get the king bed we wanted and were really close to the front desk and offices so the noise was an issue. other than that, for the money i would definitely stay at the winterhaven again. i have stayed at other sobe hotels for that price and yikes! the complimentary breakfast and snacks are a bonus as well.

It took me three weeks to find a hotel in Miami. As I have never been there, I had to depend on reviews from other people. I finally decided on the Winterhaven hotel. I did not expect to be so thrilled with everything. The day we got there Anntaye at the reception was so professional and lovely, she was all smiles and extremely helpful. I have been in five star hotels that had idiots at the reception BUT not ANNTAYE. The hotel was clean and spacious, the room was really big, the towels were very very white and the ocean view was great. The staff was very nice especially Barbrao, he is the hotel bell captain, valet, door man and much much more, simply put a great guy. As for the location it was great, just walk out the front door and you have it all, the beach restaurants shopping or whatever. You do not need a car at all. While staying at the hotel a group of people with a tour guide came in, and that is when I found out, that the Winterhaven was the only hotel that EL Capon would stay in when in south beach. When I asked which room he slept in they said, they will tell me but then they will have to kill me 

We visit So. Beach every year and have stayed at several hotels over the years. The Winter Haven resort has been among the best. Very accomodating friendly staff, nice rooms, and the morning breakfast is a nice touch. Next year we will definately consider staying at the hotel again.

PLUSES: Hands down, the location is the best part of the hotel. Across the street from the beach, and within walking distance of high end dining or cheap eats. Beach chairs and towels were provided. Front porch provided great people watching. MINUSES: Very loud. Garbage trucks emptied trash in alley every morn at 6 or 7. Could hear cleaning crews vacuum in room next door. We had a tropical rainstorm and a ton of rain. Our bathroom flooded. Floor along window was soaked in bedroom area. Windows needed repair. Front Desk wasn't helpful with tourist info. Had little knowledge of where to go and what to do for entertainment. Only one elevator made for long waits to get up and down floors.

Stayed at the Winterhaven several times and have alway had a great stay. No issues what so ever. Cant beat the location.

Stayed for only one night during start of off-season rates. Great Value for the price via hotels.com or other discount agency. The Winterhaven had major renovations in 2007 and the appearance of the hotel is great! Kudos for the Continental Breakfast and Wireless Internet in the room. (There is a $7 resort fee - but you receive tons of free perks for this minimal cost.) They even have towels and chairs that you can take with you to the beach. Parking Garage within 1-1/2 blocks away! Overall, an enjoyable stay at the Winterhaven!

The hotel was better than I had expected. The staff were very nice, helpful & informative. They treated us better than we have been treated in 5* hotels!! The location was perfect. Right next to the beach and in walking distance to everything you need to see in South Beach. They offered really good choices of tours and arranged everything for us. The room had a lovely ocean view and it was very clean and had modern decor. I have no complaints about this hotel and would definately go back.

The hotel was in a great location, it was clean. We did expect to get more sleep than what we did. We were put on the first floor in the back on the corner of the main street and an alley. The whole night there were cars and motorcycles making noise in the alley. We got little sleep. Maybe the upstairs rooms are better.

Nice locatation, great view when you have an oceanview room, very close to all the attractions and only across the street is the nice beach! Only at night it might have some noise from the street if you are going to bed early...We couldn't wish for any other place to stay in Miami Beach!

This is an old hotel in need of some new carpet and a basic face lift, but well run, clean and nice staff.

The hotel's location is great, as it is right on Ocean Drive and across from the beach. It is on a slightly quieter end of the strip, which was great for sleep. Within walking distance to numerous restaurants, clubs, etc. Great for couples.

This was our first time in South Beach. With no idea of where to stay, I started my search and realized I needed a middle-of-the-road priced hotel. The Winterhaven received decent reviews and the money was right, so we book it. The good: Front desk staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful with directions and luggage storage. The front porch area was great for chillaxing and enjoying the ocean breeze. Small lobby bar was convenient and its flat screen TV kept us updated on sporting event scores. Hotel location was prefect! Right across the street from beach access and within walking distance of good eats and great shopping. Beds were quite comfortable. The bad: I understand that South Beach is an older area. A lot of the art deco hotels are a bit run down and could use a makeover. The Winterhaven's exterior and lobby area is kept up above average when compared to the other hotels we walked by. The rooms are another story. There was quite a bit of grime and dirt. The bathroom had a little bit of mold and dirt build up in the tiling by the sink and in the shower. The shower curtains looked like they hadn't been changed in 2 years. The room's carpet was a beige color and showed a lot of stains and grime. The window had dirt caked onto the outside. It was obvious the furniture in the room hadn't been wiped down/dusted in quite some time. The bedding was all white.... white sheets, pillow cases, and bedspread. All were worn and stained. With a really good cleaning, this hotel could be one of the best on Ocean Dr!
